Jennifer D. Duettra, a Colorado lawyer since graduating from Harvard Law School in 2004, is an accomplished litigation and transactional attorney. Mrs. Duettra had participated in all manner of alternative dispute resolution, exhibiting effective skill in mediation and arbitration proceedings before independent mediators/arbitrators and through the more formal procedures of the American Arbitration Association. She has participated in and supervised a family clinic dedicated to providing pro bono legal assistance in matters concerning parenting, child support, custodial and visitation rights.
As well as trial work, Mrs. Duettra has gained extensive experience drafting and negotiating revisions to the standards from AIA agreements and Consensus Docs and agreements drafted by others. She also has extensive drafting and reviewing real estate documents such as leases, purchase contracts and deeds of trust.
A Colorado native, she graduated as valedictorian from Rampart High School in Colorado Springs in 1996. In 2001, Mrs. Duettra graduated cum laude from Colorado State University in Fort Collins, earning her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Speech Communication and Political Science. She received her J.D. from Harvard Law School in 2004.
She began her legal career with the Denver office of an international law firm, at first specializing in construction law. As her legal skills and natural talent were quickly recognized, Jennifer Duettra’s practice expanded beyond construction law into general commercial litigation as well; and she has continued to maintain a practice with an emphasis on construction litigation and contract work.
